Main features:
Al Zinnia is known as being the last village that speaks the language of the ancient Egypt people. It was called al Tayniah previously due to the presence of silt and mud produced from the Nile River and the fertility of the soil in it. That’s why Al Zinnia is now an agricultural city in the first place, famous for its cane and banana plantations.
Main economic activities:
Due to the geographical and climatic character of Al Zinnia, the main economic sector of activity is agriculture. Al Zinnia is characterized by the cultivation of sugar cane, bananas, barley, palms, wheat and traditional crops, where more than 40% of the population work in this sector.The commercial sector in the city is ranked second after the agricultural sector, most of which depend on agricultural production in the center. Stimulating the agricultural sector will automatically support this sector. Conditions and environmental challenges: Al Zinnia beneftis from all essential services such as water, electricity and road networks which constitutes the essentials of the living aside from the citizens occupation where Most of the people of the center work in agriculture and in traditional governmental and public sector jobs. The rest work in trading livestock and agricultural crops.
Al Zinnia has a desert climate. During the day, the temperature is warm to hot, and can be cold at night sometimes. Its average annual temperature is 28° degrees, with a very low level of precipitation with a dry weather 350 days in a year.
