‘’ The Arab Future Energy Index (AFEX) 2019- Renewable energy”.

The Arab Future Energy Index (AFEX) is the first Arab index dedicated to monitoring and analyzing sustainable energy competitiveness in the Arab region. AFEX offers both quantitative and qualitative analysis on key renewable energy and energy efficiency markets across 20 Arab countries. Countries are ranked by over 20 different indicators to shed light on key energy market characteristics including policies, institutional and technical capacities, strategies, and investments. AFEX data has been collected and sourced locally and internationally to guarantee accuracy and transparency.

‘’ Task Force on Climate-Related Financial Disclosures Report 2019”.

This report is the EBRD’s first stand-alone disclosure under the TCFD framework. It aims to provide an update on progress made by the EBRD in working towards the implementation of TCFD recommendations, to provide some initial financial disclosure on the EBRD’s performance against various preliminary climate risk indicators and metrics, and to provide clarity on plans for fuller financial disclosure. It marks a significant step towards including TCFD disclosures in the Bank’s annual Financial Report in the years ahead.

‘’State of the Environment and Development in the Mediterranean 2020”.

This report comes at a historical turning point for the region and the world. In the first half of 2020, COVID-19 has spiraled into a pandemic, compounding a set of intersecting crises already affecting the Mediterranean region. The pandemic is taking a hefty toll through loss of life, human suffering and massive economic disruptions in our region, with much of its medium- and long-term impacts yet to be fully apprehended. As we launch the SoED and in response to the socio-economic crisis caused by COVID-19, Mediterranean countries are in the process of introducing policies, measures and stimulus packages to support recovery. Millions of jobs are on the line and according to initial estimates, the crisis has knocked several percentage points off national income. There is no silver lining to be found in the COVID-19 pandemic, but we believe that our region must seize a historic opportunity to recover in a smart, evidence-based green fashion.

World Cities Report 2020 – The Value of Sustainable Urbanization

The UN Habitat World Cities Report 2020 shows that the intrinsic value of sustainable urbanization can and should be harnessed for the wellbeing of all. The Report provides evidence and policy analysis of the value of urbanization from an economic, social and environmental perspective, including the unquantifiable value that gives cities their unique character; and also explores the role of innovation and technology, local governments, targeted investments and the effective implementation of the New Urban Agenda in fostering the value of sustainable urbanization.

Global Synthesis Report on Local Climate Action, Edition 2022

Since 2015, Climate Chance has been working to create a favourable environment to strengthen climate action and contribute to the attainment of the goals of the Paris Agreement.
