After 7 years of climate action, the Clima-Med project, Acting for Climate in the South Mediterranean, is proud to share some of its most significant achievements made in collaboration with cities, governments, and citizens throughout the region.
Launched in 2018 with support from the European Union, Clima-Med has driven transformative climate action across seven South Mediterranean countries. By working hand-in-hand with municipalities, national authorities, and civil society, the project has evolved into a dynamic network that unites these entities around a common goal of green transformation. This collaboration has turned commitments into actionable results, building resilience, and scaling solutions.
Clima-Med will leave behind not just results, but a living legacy: stronger institutions, trained professionals, empowered cities through tailored approaches and data-driven governance, and a vibrant network of cities shaping a sustainable Mediterranean future.
Highlighting key achievements and lessons learned honours the remarkable progress the project has made. It not only celebrates these results but also encourages continued regional collaboration and investment in a shared climate-resilient future.
