Interreg NEXT MED initiates its first call for proposals worth €103.6 million in collaboration with 15 countries across the Mediterranean. This call aims to fund cooperative projects for sustainable and inclusive development in the region, within the range of €500,000 to €2.5 million/ project.

The focus areas include:

  • Boosting research and innovation capacities
  • Fostering small and medium-sized enterprises (SME) growth
  • Advancing renewable energy
  • Strengthening adaptation measures.
  • Promoting educational opportunities
  • Ensuring access to quality healthcare
  • Enhancing local governance processes
  • Supporting youth-oriented projects.

Please note that the partner-finding process is important to the proposal preparation. Each project has to be submitted by a partnership representing a minimum of 3 organisations from 3 different eligible countries, such as national and regional public authorities, municipalities, non-profit/civil society organisations, universities, research organisations, private companies and other relevant entities, including at least one Mediterranean Partner Country.

This is an excellent opportunity for a greener, low-carbon and resilient Mediterranean, which will allow countries to gain additional experience and better implement priority projects in climate change adaptation and mitigation.

Don’t miss out on the submission deadline of 28 March 2024 at 1 pm (CET) for your project proposals!
